I trainer that I have spoken to recently told me that she had some good results (with dog aggression and seperation anxiety) using something called dog appeasing pheromones, I think the brand name is DAP.
The internet results on it seemed to be of course, trying to sell me something, so I thought I would ask here.
Has anyone used it? If so, for what issues, and did you notice an improvement? And mods, sorry if I posted in the wrong spot on this!
I did do a search here but didn't find very much on it at all, just a couple of brief references. I apologize if I missed a thread where it's already been discussed.

I sat through the sales pitch on this product. It remember it seemed like BS to me. I have no personal experience with it. I know of one person who tried the cat product (or something very similar) for anxiety/spraying and it didn't work.
I guess the only positive this has going for it is it's not a medication that your animal ingests.
I have recommended it and used it for pups/rescues but only with fear issues. Aggression issues .. no.. I would never rely on a scent. I will say it was marginal and I did not use the plug in I had the spray and it took a lot of the stuff but it helped with the adjustment period for fearful dogs but is definitely not a fix all or a miracle product.
I was given the plug-in version by a friend to use because I had an anxious dog who had just had surgery. I'm not sure that it helped; I didn't really notice much difference.
I've heard from many people that it doesn't make a noticable difference, but on the other hand...it doesn't seem to hurt, either. Worse case scenario is that it's just a waste of money. Certainly even if it did make a difference it wouldn't be a substitution for actual work with the dog.
I think the plug ins have to be like 6 inches from the dogs head while it sleeps - the range is about the same as those plug in room fresheners. Thats why I used the spray, but again you have to saturate something with it for it to have any affect and it is marginal.
