Hi Connie, to answer your question, Major who has hip dysplasia still gets around pretty darn good- he's right there when i get the treats out and do fun sits and downs in the house. I know he needs to be included (he needs a job too so I will make some time for him to train.) Plus he was trained by yank and crank so he deserves some fun training!!
on to another question, there is a dog training class in town, starting tuesday, would it hurt to take sampson through this? I took Fero last time but he already knew sit, down, walk with me, stand, stay, so I just took him more for being out and around other dog thing(social). I would like to take sampson for the same reason- although he doesnt know all the commands, would it hurt to take him? I think he needs the socializing- the trainer knows I've trained dogs before so he kinda let me do my own thing with Fero.
thanks for all the advise so far- I think I just needed to talk to people who are on the same wave length about dogs
