Hi Stacy, I feed two of our dogs Evo reduced fat and have fed regular Evo in the past. I think on their old website it said it wasnt meant for puppies. A couple of years ago I spoke to a rep at a dog show and he said he didnt think it was meant for puppies but he wasnt positive. I don't think he actually worked for the company though, he was working at the booth giving out samples and some information.
I have fed EVO to pups with no problems before.
I have heard all kinds of things about evo being too much protein for puppies and small dogs.....
i also fed my chi EVO before he was switched to raw-and now that he has a new home, he is back on EVO. He is especially healthy.
I think you will hear compelling evidence from both camps, i say it is worth a shot, feed it for a while, if you notice changes that are not for the better, then feed something else.
Personally though, many people who say evo has too much protein also are firm dogs are omnivores believers, so..........
