Man...you're not kidding, Natalya. Extreme and extremely (insert expletive) up!
Once a month for 8 months...8 boosters not including the rabies!
Ok, I'm not wise to ALL the base rules in the U.S. but we have hundreds, if not thousands, of military in my area, all of them coming and going, cycling through the 2 schools here, and I never heard of this vaccine schedule from our military clients. Never heard of it and never saw it in their client records.
I wouldn't do anything until you see something in writing in an official document. And once you see it in writing, I wonder what the consequences would be if you didn't do it....
yes, thats the same road I'm on. I have an opt. with my vet on the 27th to talk about all this. I'm going to do everything I can to not do those boosters. I need to see this in print for myself, and I'm going to find out what will happen if I don't do it. It's a hard place cause my vet is my husband's sargent's wife. meaning, if I piss her of my husband will pay big time. But I' still going to do what I can. I will keep everyone up to date on this. Thanks so much for all your help. I would love more info and ideas that you all might have. Thanks. Christi
Maybe titer tests would satisfy the requirements. I would start by going over the potential problems caused by over vaccinating, pointing out the University of OK vaccination schedule and Dr. Dodds vaccination schedule. Then bring up titers. All while trying not to piss her off.
It will be a tricky dance.

I would print out all the information in these links Connie provided on another thread, and take them to the vet. Probably won't help, but it can't hurt either.
Hello. From what I have heard and read here...vaccines are not so good.....But should you at least give a puppy (one) distemper and (one) parvo.....with the thought that it will last them a long long time and there is no need to booster. I do not give lepto or lyme as it is. Just need some opinions......thanks
