everyone seems to supplement with these. I feed Innova and understand that I need to supplement BUT since innova claims to have some of these, I am afraid I will overdue it.
Both kelp & alfalfa have calcium (innova has it too) wouldn't that be too much calcium for a growing lab?
Kelp has vitamin e, So why do I need to add the vitamin E?
I am so confused!
Do you add these everyday?
Do the rules change for pregnant dogs?
I know there are many questions here but any help would be great.

Hi Stacy,
When I fed kibble I only supplemented with salmon oil and vitamin e. Salmon oil will deplete the dog's reserves of vitamin e, which is why you add it. I mixed it in the kibble every day.
When you feed raw (like I do now)you have to supplement a few more things, like kelp and alfalfa. I do not add these things every day and if you feed a good kibble (like Innova) you probably don't need to add them at all.
