I don't want to open old wounds but I have read all the posts from the lady that thought people were trashing dogs that weren't agressive or whatever was going on. I just had to comment.
Being new to this board, I thought it I should read her post the other day and then the original thread. I, like most of you, am not interested jn your bragging on your dogs all the time or for me to brag on mine and tell you what fluffy did today. That is for a different web forum.
I registered for this site after much reading here and much consideration. One thing that convinced me was that you must use your full, real name. That hopefully keeps out most of the crazies.
In both of these threads I never once thought anyone was being disrespectful to the OP. Nor did I think Judy (I think that's her name) wanted anything more than to discuss making her dog the best he could be. She appeared to use some humor with it to which I found refreshing. I don't know her.
I have called my new little pet many names that are not hers, one being monster. As a matter of fact, I've even called my children 'the monsters I created'.
But, with all that, I want to thank the members of this board for the support and respect you give all posters regardless of the breed of their dog.
And on a last note, I was appalled by the taking down a child comment. If anyone has EVER heard of a dog being intentionally put on a child to hurt or kill it, please let me know where to find this instance. If such an instance exists, then such child was injured or killed via deadly weapon. Not a dog. And like it is often said, people kill people not guns (or knives, or rocks or dogs, or....)
I appreciate the post Nora, BUT I caution everyone to please not rehash the thread from yesterday. It's a dead issue at this point.
If you all want to discuss it privately, that's fine. I spent a large portion of my day yesterday managing that ridiculous thread and all the PM that went along with it and I don't care to do that again today. I know how these things sometimes take on a life of their own, and I understand but it really isn't a productive topic.
