In addition to protection work, obedience and searching - I'm now also encompassing agility training into her schedule, planning for trials work later in the year.
This short video clip, which was recorded this afternoon, shows her going over a few agility items ...
Great shots!! I am interested in agility for my pups as well. We are getting a later start, as Bindi was an adoption and has only been with me for about 9 months, and Cody is only 8 months old.
Looks like you have trained her very well. Great attention and eager heart!

Hi Sharon..
Thanks for the kind words.
Xena is very focused and attentive and always wants to please.. This makes any training easier and more enjoyable (for both of us)..be it bitework, searching, agility, obedience - whatever.
With agility, i've taken it quite slowly - with only small jumps previously, so that it's technique and a understanding of what is required, rather than the actual physical act.
Now she's over a year old, I can afford to be a bit more bold in the type of equipment and apparatus..
Having said that, I'm still avoiding the 'scale' jump for another few months...as the drop is a bit too high I think at this stage..
She's not a big bitch, at 23 inches and 65 pounds, but this helps with the agility aspects of her training as most things seem effortless to her.. My other dogs have always been big GSDs, so it's kinda nice to have a pocket rocket nowadays..
