Just because thats the closest that petsmart comes doesn't mean you have to settle.
Do you have any farm stores in the area? Most of those places are locally owned by the local guys and are more than willing to order any food you like. Most of their suppliers also handle all the other foods out there, it's not really a special order you just have to plan a week or so ahead, and ask for it. Weather petsmart and the ilk is willing to do the same (from the same suppliers!), I don't know, but give the locals a chance and ask them. Anybody that has more then one brand of food on the shelf probably buy from the same warehouse as everybody else.
Dear Abby,
Pet smart is bullying me! Do I have permission to hit back?
Signed,
Full, but starving for FOOD.

Petsmart does carry blue wilderness. It's in a big shiny silver bag usually with a wolf on the front of it. I should add in there that many petcos also carry Blue and are adding other decent brandnames to their lineup and are starting to try a trader joe's natural feel to their stores.
I tried Blue Wilderness with my dogs. The lab no surprise snarfed it down. The papillons carefully picked every single one of the lifesource kibble bits out of the dish and left them in a neat pile only eating the other kibbles.
It bugged me that they were picking out so much so back to canidae I went.
. . .I've just got to get the logistics of it figured out. . .
You may have already read this, but I wish I had done this 8 yrs ago when I started, I probably could have paid for a dozen grinders:
Buy a grinder and then you can usually find weekly specials on whole chickens for $.50 or so per lb., and also beef and pork specials. I feed about half of the chickens unground (to keep the teeth clean) and then grind up the rest and freeze it in zip locks. The original market where I used to get cheap chicken backs now prices them at $1.19/lb. Ridiculous!
