I emailed Cindy a few weeks ago, RE: neighbor dogs barking/charging the fence and startling our 4 mos old pup. So far, our pup more or less ignores the dogs, but we were worried about fence fighting and/or our pup becoming dog aggressive.
Cindy's advice to me at the time was to film the neighbor dog's behavior, and block the dogs view.
We ended up buying some cheap bamboo material that we ran through the slats of our chain-link fence. It blocks the dogs view of one another, and although we still have to hear the barking, they can't see one another, and therefore can't fight.
It's within your legal rights to protect yourself from bodily harm ( unless you live in one of the leftist pinko nanny states ) and a handgun is the most practical solution for a dangerous situation like this.
Check with your local laws first, of course.
No problem, I'm in Virginia Actually I have been meaning to do this, I know how to shoot, just need the permit.
I am going to start carrying my video camera as well.
A tired dog is a good dog, a trained dog is a better dog.
