I just did the math, and when he's full-grown, if he is still around 9 pounds, you're facing a 3-ounce-a-day habit!
This is gonna be so cheap.
See.......she's already straightening out that learning curve.
Really! I just laughed delightedly when I hit my calculator keys.... almost like doll-food!
I had never figured out my own little Pug on his own, either .... wow, would HE be cheap to feed alone! I'm looking at him with renewed affection!
Just wanted to pop in here and let you know that my dog is 8.5 lb Schipperke and I get Cornish game hens. They weigh in at about a pound each and the bones are smaller all the way around for a smaller dog. Mini dog = mini chicken. They cost about 2 bucks here but it is cheap when you figure only about 3-4 ounces per day. She also likes broccoli (go figure).
I also get her those small Danish baby back ribs on sale. They are small, too.
Just wanted to pop back in here and give an update on my raw feedings. Still on raw. My dog is still doing great. I tell everyone I can about raw feedings for dogs and have almost converted one.
The longer is goes, the easier it is. I was so nervous at first but once you get the hang of it, they can eat about anything and you don't have to put so much thought into it.
And, with my small dog, cost just isn't a factor.
Thanks, Connie, and everybody else who gave me encouragement and advice.
