i know, the last time i did about her progress, i jinxed us.
but....as you guys know, i've been able to go back to normal and be able to take her out and about again. me getting my confidence back + the stress fracture doing lots better.
so we did a nice walk after work today, and....
-going past a park we got charged (not closely) but a 80-90lb dog barking. we kept on going, teagan heeled nicely - stayed in position - she turned her head and stared at the dog, who stopped (a combination of us walking away, the owner continuing to run screaming after her dog, and possibly teagan staring, b/c she's successfully stared down/stopped large dogs before).
but teagan did great!!!!!
i have to admit, i panicked for a moment, plus i thought if the dog didn't stop b/c of angles i'd have to take out using my left leg, which is where the fracture is, but that's a digression. i stopped myself and said 'confidence!!!' and she did great. yay!
she did get distracted when we walked past a yard containing two small dogs who ran up the fence barking (i could see her switch into prey mode) but she still heeled for me. i have to admit, i had a momentary 'is that the dog she attacked?' but decided not to stop for a closer look (i know the guy lives nearby but not where exactly).
