Stephanie St Julian Webboard User Reg: 10-16-2007 Posts: 801 Loc: Galveston, TX Offline	Well I finally found a field big enough for the gang tp run in. Its a old park and there are four full size soccer fields. That are fenced all the way around. Just close one gate and there trapped tell I say. Anyway we have spent the past four days roaming thr grounds to make sure there is nothing harmful. Well today was the first day they got to go to there new running area. And phoenix has discovered she love chasing birds. Is this ok she is not quite fast enough to catch them But I want to know if this is ok. I don't mind but need other opions on this. She comes back when called even in mid run. Any information would be helpful. What are yall opions on this. My little rose bud

And it is a testament to your training that your dog will come back when called even in this high distraction. My dogs like to chase bats at night (they don't fly low enough for the dogs to catch) and also moths, and it is much better exercise than simply walking with mom. They get good and tired, and I don't have to do much.

I have a chuck it and I got this ball with a string on it and throw that to. They loved it I am taking the evening off and we are going back tonight. My little rose bud

I had to stop using it because my dogs decided it was "theirs" and would run the fence and bark if anyone dared to walk past (on the other side of the fence). I am not a great dog trainer. You are very lucky to have a safe place where your dogs can run and play. I say, go for it! It will be more relaxing for you as well, and you can have a nice quiet evening at home since all your dogs will be sleeping!

Bruiser just plopt down in front of me. My foster freckles loved running also he has to have a 50 foot drag line so I can catch him. But they all seem to love it. Even mercy so it all worked out great. My little rose bud
