Oh they are fun in their own way.Four Puppies are alot of work and are not unlike another full time job. At this point the idea of keeping 8-15 puppies clean is kinda like a nightmare scenario. That said I will miss each and every one of their little furry faces but from a distance.
The litter I'm getting my puppy from was born on Nov. 5th. The bitch had an ultrasound and only 2 showed up. I thought great, I probably won't get a pup and have to wait another 8-12 months. Maybe there could be 4 or 5 in there? I saw pictures of her 3 days before her due date and she didn't look big. Everyone was surprised, even the breeder, when she had 11!!! Go figure

I have a pic somewhere of a chihuahua that had a litter of 7... looked a little like a beachball with legs and a face. Yeah... they surprise you sometimes.
What is a phalene? I don't know that word, and it's not in my dictionary. Closest I could come was phalanger meaning an arboreal marsupial with foxlike ears and a long bushy tail. Is she a little climber?

Phalene means literally moth, where papillon means butterfly. Both are completely acceptable within the breed standard and basically as Jessica pointed out one is a flopped over ear vs an erect ear.
Otherwise the standard (including the one for ears) is exactly the same. Phalenes are just way more uncommon in this country.
