Hi - I purchased too much THK. I'm using it with their raw diet to add veggies and fruit. I'm not anticipating going through these boxes very quick as it's not the majority of their diet.
They're all 9/09 but they're also all opened as I'm rotating the flavors daily. I'd sure hate to get a few months down the road and find a weevil or some other infestation when I have a lot of product left.

I also don't see why not. I would vacume seal or at least freezer lock zip lock the bags though to prevent wet air from condensing on your dry food. With fridges with an auto defrost this can be an annoying issue.
I bought a bunch of HK food when it was on sale. Since I only have one dog that gets it every day, I froze the majority of it. I put it in Ziplock freezer bags and it was fine.

The Reply from THK
Hi Carol,
Our foods may be hydrated in larger batches ahead of time and refrigerated or frozen in individual batches. Refrigerated food should be used within 48 hours. Frozen portions will keep for 2 weeks in a freezer.
Dehydrated foods should be stored in a cool, dry place. Not in the refrigerator. Our products have a shelf life of twelve months or more, depending upon ambient temperature and humidity. The date of manufacture is printed on the top of every box in a specially designed 'tear out and keep' card. Our food-safe bags are fitted with a tin-tie to allow you to close securely between meals. We recommend thoroughly cleaning and drying our re-usable stainless storage tins if you use them, prior to refilling. You may buy our stainless steel tin online at http://www.thehonestkitchen.com or you can buy any air tight storage container to store the food in. Please let me know if you have any further question I can help you with.
Have a great day!
I also did some online research and found this
Dried food should always be stored in a COOL, DRY & DARK location. For every 10 deg Celsius drop in storage temperature, the shelf life of dried food increases up to four times. So by placing your dehydrated food in an airtight container, in a cool, dark space (a cupboard's a great spot) you can keep it for between 1-2 years.
