Hi all, this is my first posting.
We have a new 4 1/2 months old Boxer Puppy, Name -
Watou, male, unneutered. It's my 3rd Boxer and I don't remember any Boxers I've ever known to be whiny like our new one.
For example, we sit at the Breakfast table and he wants our attention he will look at us and almost speak to us in this whiny voice. Like he is telling us "hey, guys! See me, play with me" I swear I can even sometimes see his lips moving like he is mouthing words. He will also complain, when we sit on the Sofa, which he isn't allowed, he will put his Head on our Lap, and complain. He does also whine a lot whenever we tell him to go to his place, or we eat something he wants.
Also I had him talk back to me when I reprimanded him, or told him to be quiet. We do try to ignore his whining or send him to his place and tell him to be quiet, but so far it hasn't stopped the whining. It is not a whine like he is sad or lonely (like a new puppy crying) but really more like a 3 year old Toddler being whiny for no reason.
Any suggestions how to make my puppy stop this behaviour? Otherwise aside of being typical puppy mouthy, he is a great dog, very smart, learns very easy, has a good prey drive and just is a typical, loving you to death Boxer.
