I bought an Everlasting ball for my 6 month old presa as a reward in the ground work training. It only took him about 3 minutes to get the discs out of the rubber ball, and he had access to one of the discs for about an hour. He did not comsume the disc during this time just knawed and licked it. During the night he vomited and had watery stools in the am. Could this be a result of the wheat gluten in the treat? If so, can anyone recommend a treat like this that is not gluten based?
Very watery, yes brown water. He only chewed on it, decreased the size of the disc by less than 10% I would estimate. None of the toy is missing. Only one episode of vomiting. Would not eat at first this morning at usual time. Ate about an hour and a half late, with a good appetite. Second outside trip was more pudding start with a soft finish. The only out of the ordinary thing in diet yesterday was the treat.

If there is an e-vet around for just in case for tomorrow and the weekend, then I'd wait and see how the next poop is. If there is not, I would consider a call today, because some vets will be pretty much closed for the next few days.
It's probably fine, and the second potty trip had improved ... I'm just worrying about no vets being available after today.
If I saw a normal poop, I'd feel pretty safe for the weekend.
JMO.
Either way, I would give a 12-hour fast (or more) and soothe that gut, then give a small bland watery-overcooked-white-rice meal. And I'd encourage liquids to keep hydrated after vomiting and diarrhea. I'd give baited water if needed.

Not much of anything until the poo issues resolve.
If you want a suggestion for non gluten based chews I like braieded bully sticks, moozles, snooters, ears, tails, and other protein based things. Frozen turkey necks are also a nice treat/meal addition.
If you also desire you can get a puzzle ball/bobble and fill it full of kibble or treats. Also good.
Thanks for all the help guys. For some reason my pup's stomach does not get along with gluten products. He has been on a gluten free diet since weening. Poop issue has cleared up now. Decided to put treats made by his normal foods mfctr inside the treat ball. Thanks again.
