I am interested in buying an e-collar to help in training my 3-4yo GSDmix to stop running the fence line and barking. Through reading other posts it seems that people recommend both an e-collar and the bark limiter collar. I am inexperienced with using any type of e-collar and do plan on also buying Ed's DVD on the subject when I buy the collar. I do understand that the e-collar is only a tool and that the training that goes along with it is the key. My question is, which collar is recommended to use for the fence running and barking, the Tri-Tronics Bark-Limiter or the Dogtra 280NCP?
For what it's worth, I'd buy and watch the DVD before I bought the collar. It may help you make a more informed choice. It definitely will help you set reasonable and accurate expectations as to what you can do with the e-collar and how to use it.
