We have been working on a couple of things. He went to my dad yesterday ( I went to Mom and Dad's for my birthday dinner of Ham and beans and Cornbread). He doesn't like to be touch by anyone but me and my daughter, but he went to dad and laid his head on his leg and dad got to scratch Hambone's ruff for about 3 minutes. AND, he went to him all by himself.
We also have been working on neutral behavior toward my grandson.
Yesterday, Hambone stood still ( never unsupervised by me ) and allowed my 22 month old grandson to pat him. Maintained a posture of tail and head neutral and actually had a relaxed body.
LOTS of work there still, but improvements!
Those were his gifts to me.
( I of course wanted a rich man but those two things were better.)
