I have a GSD/Bloodhound pup.. any guesses on whether i could use the techniques suggested here to make his ears stand up? Or does he likely have too much bloodhound in him for that?
I'm sorry, I had to ask.. I'd love to see his ears stand up!!
Shoulda seen him at about 5-6 wks old... his daddy's a GSD, mom's the bloodhound.. He's got the body and markings of a GSD and I gotta admit I laughed my tail off when I saw him.. Looked like a GSD who'd had an unfortunate accident with a brick wall cause his snout was all wrinkled up!!

Actually I have good hope for those ears. They're really a good size and angles for a bitch and if she vaguely gains the hair length and density of her father's coat I should have an exceptional papillon for conf should I choose to go that route.
Right now the main consideration for type (temperament and other training is a different ball of wax) is angles and that the ears are standing strongly for the weight of the hair comes much later.
