My girl (Belle) has finally arrived! Six weeks and I can't believe her prey drive, and focus. She refuses to let go of the towel, string, etc and will let me drag her around playing tug. I'm not an expert, but I think this is good for 6 weeks. She also shows confidence and keeps her tail way up compared to many other pups that I've seen. I would like to try and title her (Sch1) in the future and want to do the right things in her training to help make that happen later.
This brings me to my question. I have "8 weeks to 8 months", "basic dog training", "building drive, focus & grip" and was looking at getting "Bite training puppies". Reading the description of the video, and the article Ed wrote (linked from the video description) it appears that this video is not for a trainer that wants to do Schutzhund. Should I go with the "First steps of bite training" instead? Are there enough training steps that can carry over from the bite training puppies video to the type of bite training required for schutzhund to warrant getting both videos? Do I understand correctly that one tape is for training that produces a mouthy grip, and the other one is for the deep firm grip needed for schutzhund?
Any advice on dos & don'ts of developing my pup's bite training (imprinting) is much appreciated.
Thanks!

The bite training for puppies is a good one. The Flinks tape is more for dogs that are 6months or more, IMHO. The next Flinks tape "Preparing Your Dog for the Helper" would be my next suggestion after the drive tape. I don't have that one, yet, but my faith in what I've gotten in the Flinks tapes would be good enough for me. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
