Yeah yeah Connie,
Only in my wildest dreams are the blood suckers blown away by coastal winds.
Yeah yeah Connie, I live on/near the coast and am surrounded by fields and woods........Still covered in snow. Now the the snow flakes have ticks in them!!!!!!
I don't believe it myself.
Wish the damn things were big enough to shoot, I'd make them exstinct all by my lonesome.

Randy, Where do you live? I live in the foothills of Southern CA ,in a green belt area below the San Gabriel mountains, and it has been pretty warm. I see no ticks yet, but there is a commerical on TV they keep playing about ticks and flees and it says that ticks and flees are around all year long, not just summer. We have no snow, so maybe your area is different.
Anna,
When I lived in the warm climes of Cal the only ticks I ever picked off my dogs were wood ticks. So while I'm not real sure, I 'believe' you shouldn't have to worry a lot about Lymes.
To my knowledge lyme disease is transmitted only by the deer tick. And only by the deer tick.
If the wood tick is a carrier of other nasty things.....I don't know.
I just want every tick in the world dead.
