I have been reading the threads regarding weaning puppies on raw. Their mother is fed raw. The puppies will be 7 weeks old Tuesday. They are eating ground beef now with no problems.
While reading differant threads there seems to be differant opions regarding poultry for pups. Is ground chicken with bone ok to feed. (legs and thighs grounded up with no additives). If not, how do they get the bone that they need?
If you are giving a ground chicken with uncooked bone that is soft doesn't split easily, I can't see why you can't give some. I tend to stay away from chicken bones. When they break, they can be very sharp easy to penetrate. I stick with one that is pretty large and very soft with lots of marrow in the middle.

No, Lindsay, the O.P. is asking about raw feeding, not recreational bones.
Almost everyone who feeds raw relies on poultry (or rabbit) RMBs for much of the digestible bone part of the diet.
Yes, ground chicken is O.K. to feed to the puppies.
It would be best to feed as many different parts of the chicken as possible. Preferably using the whole bird, IMO. Not necessary, but would help to make certain the meat:bone is good.

Ditto here.
The O.P.'s plan to feed the softer "front end" parts as is and to grind the legs (with the bones, of course) for a while sounds great to me.
Thanks. I thought it was ok to feed, but, then I started reading past post and saw a few saying not to, I forgot what it was some illness that appeared like parvo, and then I got a little nervous about it...
