I admit quincey has not been wearing the backpack, only outside. Monday I started him wearing the backpack also in the house. I just hate to have to comb him several times a day when he wears it. I think it is doing him some good though, to wear it. Now with the marker training, I dont know what treat to give him that wont take him long to eat. He has a huge over bite, anything chewy or crunchy will take him a while to eat. I dont want to carry cooked chicken or turkey, all day long in my pocket. I was thinking of possibly trying the leerburg training treats.

Top left, top right, and Grizzly Nu in the second row are the three can't-fail rewards in my house. All of the dogs love all three of these.
The top left ones come in a nice plastic bucket that keeps them soft. My dogs love the liver and the cheddar best among the bucket ones (yes, I did do "scientific" tests with each dog and with treats laid out in a row. ).
These are all tiny. These are M&M size, and the don't even take 1/2 second to go down.
I buy all three of these because I like carrying a mixed bag. This triggers a kind of slot-machine eagerness in the dogs.
I also include bits of cooked meat or cheese when I have them.
