Does anyone know where to find a reasonably priced copy of "The German Shepherd Dog In Word and Picture" by Max von Stephanitz? All I have found range between $325-$1400. Is there a recent English reprint available?

Here is how I have purchased several books that run very spendy, in a doable range for me. Might take a while, but I have bought two expensive vet handbooks and many works of fiction and non-fiction; I was very pleased and thought that it was worth waiting for.

I have also emailed used- and out-of-print booksellers and "pre-ordered" very successfully, by listing the out-of-print books I wanted (and whether or not I had a minimum condition requirement, which I usually don't; price is generally my major concern ) and by being meticulous about updating these lists if I found the book(s) elsewhere so the sellers know that I'm reliable. (If you don't do this, the seller quickly learns not to procure something for you without re-checking, and this can trigger sad losses.)
This is the best way I have found to get (for example) recent vet school textbooks and other very expensive books for affordable prices.

I love it too. Even the really old ones that some people call "musty" -- I love that smell! (Of course, I also love the smell of dirt-dug and stone cellars. )
