I am new to this site. A trainer who has a fabulous dog from Leerburg Kennels recommended this site. As you know, Leerburg no longer breeds (or is not now at least). Does anyone know of breeders similar to Leerburg in the Midwest area that they could recommend?
I have no affiliation with them other than speaking to them through e-mail. They have my bitches mother (Rena) and father (Narys) and I was just checking on her parents. Rena is now retired and her last breeding did not take, but you can speak with them about other available pups.
What are you looking to do with your working like gsd?

A 3rd reccomendation for Jason. I have an Arras/Spy pup that has tons of drive AND tons of personality, great nerve and temperament. If you want i'll send you 10,000,000,000 pictures and videos, LOL
Thank you so much for your suggestions. I have a call into Jason and Marcy was soooo helpful! This will be our first GSD. I had a German mix growing up who was wonderful. So we definitely need a "beginner" dog - not a super high drive one. I don't want to get in over our head first time out. I see us doing obedience style training and clubs, some personal protection work. The dog will mostly be a family companion.
