I think this is a good idea...but, it needs to be carried a little further with and end in sight. If the veteran relies solely on the dog, what will happen when the dog cannot perform duties anymore or needs to be PTS?
PTSD sucks, 1st hand knowledge, and I know what a good dog can do, and my first dog wasn't even trained, but she would wake me from nightmares and get between me and anyone who stood in front of me who was within a certain distance...I guess I trained her subconciously. I fell apart when I had to have her PTS.
This can't be the end of the therapy for these men and women.
