I searched the site and couldn't find anything that seemed close to my situation. My 6 month old puppy raises her hair on her back when we play fetch. I'll take the ball and tease her, build frustration, then throw the ball. Between the time she takes off and when she pounces on the prey she will raise her hackles. By the time she makes it back to me with the ball she has calmed down and outs well. Then she is ready to go again. Any ideas on why she does this? Is this normal behavior in a puppy?
Thanks for the reply Connie and Dennis. That was my first thought. (But I have been wrong before. Don't tell anybody.) It just seems that most time it is pointed out that this is a bad sign. So I posted on the side of caution. Any other opinions are appreciated.
