I've been trying to work on my left and about turns lately. It's getting better. He's anticipating a little(I think he's trying to make me turn with him sometimes). Just gotta start balancing it a little more with straights, stops and right turns. I'll get it eventually. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CawtRJSIAv8
Yeah, well, I got my dog to walk on a loose leash by 12 months.
That's real-world application right there, my friend. REAL world. I don't have to worry about his combat drive being distracted by toy drive. See you want the dog working "for you" which is based mostly on pack drive (not to be confused with hanging-out-in-the-living-room drive), which eclipses all the lesser drives like plastic-bag-in-the-wind-drive, or smelly-raccoon-run-over-by-commercial-mower-drive. It emphasises control for all the right reasons.
But if you're happy with a fake, gay dog...ok.
I'd invite you to explore the realness of your dog by making him look bored and stressed. That's what seperates the wheat from the chaff.

Steve you are crazy. Your dog does a lot more than walking on a loose line!!!
Eich Vom Leerburg(that's correct right?) has some of the nicest obedience I've seen. I think he may have some Malinois in him.LOL
I am attempting to train my dog to heel, so I love it when people post videos of their dogs doing it. It kinda gives me a goal to strive for! And I think your dog did great! He looks very happy.
