Hi all, been away for a long while. New baby and the pup is all grown up and haven't needed your advice in awhile.

My mom is starting to supplement their 65lb lab mix with Vitamin E. They have bought the Grizzle Wild Alaskan Brand Salmon Oil. I told them they needed to supplement with Vitamin E. They emailed Grizzly and asked them this and Grizzly responded that the Salmon Oil naturally has Vitamin E and that additional Vit E supplements are not needed.

Not enough E. That's enough to protect the EFAs while the oil sits in the bottle, like other fish oils. They need to give E to protect the EFAs during the body's processing. That size dog would be 200 IUs/day to 400 IUs/day.

JMHO.

Also, all natural (not dl alpha) is better, and mixed tocopherols is even better.
