Hi all, I have a very large dog (over 120 pounds) who is a very aggressive chewer -- if, it's stuffed with stuffing or food; if not, he's not interested -- and I'm looking for suggestions on toys to buy that would last longer than one or two sessions.
I received my Bob-a-Lot in the mail today and already he's chewed the screw-on lid. He likes to carry the Bob-a-Lot around by the neck.
I've been looking at the Egge toy, but hesitate to purchase it because there's no place for treats; on the other hand, there's the Boomer ball (which I think takes treats, not sure though), and other toys that might be helpful.
I have had good luck with the Buster cube too. They don't chew on them, they just bat them all over the place and make a racket, but it keeps them busy and entertained enough not to chew for a while.
FYI...My male was pretty much chewing up one of the everlasting treat balls with most of the treat still in it, until I took it away. He doesn't chew up the large extreme (black) kong when I stuff it with chream cheese, freeze it & give it to him in his crate. At least not yet, & he has been getting them for 3 years now.
