Just a quick question in regards to prong collars. What is the overall opinion of the buckle prong? I am using a quick release one now but with my dogs long hair it is kind of a pain to put on at times. Also I noticed that the buckle prong (sold in the Leerburg cat of course) does not have a swivel. Is anyone using one of these now that can give me some info?
I'm not crazy about the quick release either. I have the regular prongs and have success with those. Never used the buckle prongs but I would say a swivel on the prong is neccessary.
I have only used the regular prong, and it works like a dream, but I have a very hard time getting it on him.
How do the buckle prongs work, it looks to me like the attachment ring is on the nylon part, does that tighten the prongs?
ETA: I started Yote on a prong for walks only when he was about 4 and half months. He was like trying to walk a freight train, and he was also a lunger. It only took about two blocks with the prong on for him to figure it out.
I hated to put one on a pup his age, but he had already hurt my rotator cuff and I couldn't afford to let that happen again.
