I just got a 7 week old yellow lab on Tuesday (2 days ago). I've been crating her throughout the day and all night and today she actually went into the crate on her own to take a nap, so it is obviously working only after a couple days. My question is, how often should I be taking her outside during the night? I feed her around 7, and take her water away around 830. Then I take her outside before bed around 12. I got up at 6 this morning to let her out and she had used the bathroom in the crate. Then I woke up again at 9 to take her out again and she had used the bathroom a 2nd time. Was this an off night for her, or is my scheduling a bad one? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
