We the undersigned urge the court in Denver, Colorado to give Steven Clay Romero, the man charged in the dragging death on December 30, 2009 of a German Shepherd named Buddy behind his truck for three miles the maximum penalty of three years in federal prison, $100,000 fine and one year probation for this horrific crime. Do not let this crime go unpunished for the horrible death of an innocent dog. Given Mr. Romero's past criminal record, we feel he is a menace to society and this dragging death is only the beginning of what could lead to future unimaginable and tragic consequences.

Maybe the sleep deprivation is getting to me but since when is justice done via petition? They caught the guy, he'll go before a judge, I'm sure he'll not get a kind sentence considering he stole the dog for what appears to be no reason and apparently has a criminal history.
I hate this crime as much as anyone else does but I fail to see what a digital lynch mob will accomplish.
A digital lynch mob will accomplish nothing noteworthy however the link has accomplished awareness. No shit the guy wont get what he really deserves which is a shot in the back of the head. And yeah...its a less than 1% chance that "justice will be done via petition"
I know this kind of cruelity gets to us all, makes me want to take justice in my own hands, but I guess we would all become a society of revengeful hateful people(especially in todays world) Next thing we will probably hear is they found bodys cut up in barrels in his basement. Alot of them pychos start out as animal abusers.
