nicely done, mine would of ripped the Huskey a new one
Mine too. He hates Sibes anyway, but that... Man. I proof training at dog parks too, especially the long down, but always make sure there are no Sibes coming in unless I want a REAL distraction!
Very nice work. You should have zero issue with the BH, just watch his downs in motion and when you leave him. He is doing very nice, I'd just hate to see such a nice dog get into bad habits and loose easy points later. Not a single other thing to be critiqued!
A word to the wise... Don't train hard up to the BH. Your great training will prove its self if it is there (and yours is) BUT an overworked dog can shut down on you when it counts. I know from experience... Let him rest the day or two before with little to no drive building playing. He will SHINE for you!
Thanks Jessica for the words of wisdom I will certainly take heed to it. Trying to keep it mixed. I don't have the benefit of a club to train with right now. Doing the best I can with what I've got.
Reggie, you’re two training videos have me totally inspired. I’ve got hubby building some agility equipment (he’s almost got the A-frame complete – picked up some in-door/out-door carpet tonight) and that touch chair for the send out, that’s brilliant. (I’ve got the husky distraction and we’ve just about got that one mastered that too..
I also don’t have the benefit of a club or trainers to work with so watching you train what I am also trying to train is really cool.

Ditto that! Gizmo handled that impressively well. My dog would have munched the Husky.

I'd say you're doing pretty darn well all on your own.....WOW. I train outside the dog park fence...never even thought of attempting the training INSIDE.
That video had me howling... I liked the near head-on collision with the doberman. Gizmo is such a good sport- especially when there were about 4 different dogs bouncing around him within 3 feet. I expected that husky to be breakfast.
