This makes me shake my head.......just when we think we know what we are doing for feeding raw......we find out how little we know. There are sooooo many things that I wouldn't begin to think of feeding.
We have long hairy beasts at our house and so much of this goes into their long beards and leg furnishings.....like they don't stink enough on their own.....gads zeek! Glad to know they have this deydrated as well........hmmmm??
I know some days I shake my head too especially when I'm bagging and separateing 100lbs of chicken, kidneys hearts and whatever. oh my you do have it worse with that getting into their beards like that. I think it would have to be beard trimming time.
When we "inherited" this greyhound it was wonderful for upkeep. I can feed him ANYTHING and there's NO MESS!!! When he comes in from rain or snow.......down the back with one whisk of the towel and he's good to go! But Bouviers......OMG....and for the older dogs........it is beard trimming/body trimming time once again!! I can here the clippers now...
I washed a beard this morning after breakfast and turned to my husband and said "time for cutting". However, it does take the whole look of a Bouv away when they are all cut down, BUT I just think of it as the "old style" look!!
Let me tell you.......I think the baggies on the feet aren't such a bad idea......just wish I could figure out how to cover 4 big hairy heads!!
