I know this is an old post, but a client of mine just brought it to my attention. To bring some closure to this topic I figured that I would let everyone know what happened to the dog in question (Henley). The rescue group that had adopted Henley out asked me to step in and help with his training. He was given up by the owners so I took him for evaluation. Many of your posts were spot on in regards to this dog. There were many warning signs with his aggression and he also wasn't very aggressive. He was just unsocialized. We actually didn't do any training with him, he stayed with us for three days for evaluation and then was adopted out to another family where he is doing well. I included a link to a video of Henley, it doesn't show anything interesting but figured his original family might like to see it.
