Hello,
I have recently decided to switch my two dogs over to Raw. I have been reading as much as I can but I still have a lot of questions, so here is the first Im sure of many more to come. On a lot of the forums that I have been on alot of people have suggested to get with the local hunters in your area as this may be a good source to get some of their left over scraps or meat they cant use. So thats what I did. I now have around 100lbs of Deer meat coming from a hunter that he can't use. I have a couple of questions on this.
1 ) How long can I keep the meat where it will still be good to give to my dogs if its kept frozen. Im still doing alot of reading on the raw diet so it may be a month before I feel comfortable enough to switch and start using this meat.
2) The deer meat was processed for Human consumption ( no bones or Organs ) so is this something I would want to give on an every other day basis because there are no bones or can I mix something in with it to complete the diet to give it everyday. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
