So, anyone else existed about the new Tablet coming out? (I refuse to call it by its name)
Ok first off a disclaimer for all the nay-sayers. Yes, it pretty much is an over sized iPod touch.
Anyhow the reason I am a big fan of it is (outside of being a MacHead) that it will be great for text books, e-readers like the Kindle are good for reading books, but lack when it comes to text books or documents that have photos or graphs in them. This may be a good time to put in a plug for Ed's e-books .
And what it really comes down to is I think this would be a great (but expensive) personal organizer.
Hah, ok I am gullible and will end up getting this first one, but I want it for when I go to Germany and hopefully it will last me 3 years for when I am over there.
The big question for me is if I should get the 3G one or not. I dont want to spend extra for it if I cant get service in Europe.

It's in no way a tablet mac. It's like you said an over sized ipod touch. I'm a huge mac head (typing this on my mac book pro 17" ) but as far as i can tell it's not going to offer much functionality in the way of a real tablet. Personally i have no trouble reading eds e books on my iphone... i would like nothing more than to be wrong about the iPad, i was excited until i learned you couldn't run the Mac OS, Let me know how it works out.
