So a few of you know that Dolly has been very ill for some time now. She had stopped eating, was drinking excessively, and had very bad diarrhea (it was like water, sorry if that's TMI). We had bloodwork done, as I was almost positive it was her kidneys, but everything came back negative.
Anyway, we've gotten her to eat again. First it was boiled chicken with calcium. Now it's boiled chicken with THK gravy. She doesn't always eat all of the THK. I've added her supplements back in. She went through antibiotic treatment, which seemed to help, but has been off that for a few weeks.
She lost a little of weight but is no longer lethargic, in fact she's her normal self. She just has loose stools (but they do have some form to them) and will only eat boiled chicken. If I put too much THK gravy, she won't even touch it.
I just wanted to show two pictures of her I took today. I was playing around with Garrett's camera. She still looks great being sick like she is. I think anyway.
Still praying for a full recovery, and hopefully that she'll be eating normally sooner than later. It's amazing to me how much her diet has helped her. I'm sure she would have been in far worse shape if she were eating her old Pedigree food.
Great pictures. I don't know about her illness, but I can see she's an old lady, and she looks really good. You're doing something right! Bless you for taking such good care of her.
Glad that she is feeling better. Aging is difficult for all of us. Some of us do it far more gracefully than others. Bless you for helping this sweet little lady do it in the best way possible, with lots of love & good care.

Thank you so much everyone. It's been a very rough road with a lot of tears and frustration. I've tried giving her pumpkin and yogurt with no success. I can't find powder probiotics, so I'm ordering from LB.
Your kind words and encouragement mean so much. She really wouldn't be cared for like she is if it weren't for all of you. I thank you for teaching me how to make her life better.
I'm doing my best to feed her enough to stay healthy, but she's still being picky.
