My Boxer was diagnosed with a "fungal" infection ...basically a yeast infection on her hind end....her hip area. It was right as I was breeding her and her fur began to fall out in small patches with a couple small scabby spots....I thought it was just from stress since we had recently moved. The vet said not to worry and to bathe her every three days in a antifungal shampoo....it didn`t help and I gave it up 4 weeks before she was due to whelp since I was afraid she may hurt herself getting in & out of the tub.
Her pups are a week old now. I have continued to give her probiotics , XanGo mangosteen juice ,and increased her vitamins as well as change her food from Verus to Canadae . It is better but she still has bald spots .
Any advise would be greatly appreciated !!

Keep on keeping on. You also should continue the bath until you see peach fuzz coming in on those bald spots assuming it wasn't severely scarred. BTW don't panic when her hair falls out after you wean those pups. It happens to all dogs.
Yeast is fed by sugars, water, etc. So check your diet of sugar content (mangosteen juice?, beet pulp) and try to keep her clean and dry. If you live in a place with humidity like my house where everything becomes green slowly but surely baby powder helps wick away moisture from the skin and is non toxic.
