Took Bacall in to get her hips, elbows and spine xrayed. The vet, who is pretty well thought of here, said her hips looked great but since she is a German Shepherd will probably only go good by OFA!
Same thing with her brother Bogie! Love it, when the breeding is good hip wise. Such a relief.
Gonna go finish my happy dance and then off to find Bacall's future one or two night stand....LOL
As a good breeder should be! One day many years down the road( I have two young GSD's already) if you are still breeding Betty, I sure would love one of your pups!

I know the feeling. I took Rain in for her OFA cardiac and the vet was all concerned looking all of a sudden. The thought OH (Dooky)! went through my mind. Then the dog let out the world's loudest burp, everyone in the room giggled, and she came out good on all counts.
congrats on the good hips. It's always a relief when it's done. :-)

At least it came out that end and not the other.......
The vet pretty much knows to give me a thumbs up as soon as he walks into the room. Otherwise I might just grab him my the collar and scream "cut to the chase"; then we can look at the xray in detail....
I really like this guy, every visit I get a little mini session on how to read xrays. He spent about 10 minutes showing me what he looks for on the spine and even compared them to some other xrays.
My first dog I went in there for xrays thinking it was just kind of going through the motions, I couldn't believe it when they showed moderate to severe.
