That is great that you're opening your home and giving her a chance to have a great dog life! I believe my rescue fell through, I needed that like a whole in the head any way. Please keep up posted and a pix would be great!
A local shelter ,that the owner originally called, took the dachshund. the owner just wanted "to be done with it"- you'll love this...They are getting a "good dog", a "smart dog" one that "tolerates the kids"...OMG, they are getting a
Lab! OHhh- I had lots to say to her!
I didn't know dogs "came" with all that in place, all the dog problems are solved; no more need for training.... just get a lab, stupid, stupid people and poor dogs. Disposable I guess as mentioned in another thread. Sorry, crabby today...2 bad days in a row full of annoying people and not enough of dog time. I'm glad that you expressed to this lady, good job!
Anyways where is the girl now, with you or stuck in the shelter?
In the shelter!
Poor dog...I hope someone takes her home soon. I think it will be difficult to rehab her in a shelter environment. I was willing and ready to take her, but the lady was Afraid "if I couldn't rehab/ place her, she would go back to her, and they were getting a lab!" OMG, If I only had that stick!
My daughter works for a kennel/training facility, and came home that same day saying someone came in trying to ditch a dachshund, it wasn't the same lady...What's up with people!!!
