After last weeks stick incident I have decided that I would like to get Tasha comfortable in a muzzle in case of an emergency. I'm seeing that she may need one for the vet when she gets older, too. She's really quick to control the situation with her mouth if she is at all freaked out. She doesn't bite or snap, but is mouthy enough that she might.
I did a search but didn't come up with anything detailed.
Is this the kind of thing that would be good to work on with clicker training?
I have already been working with a clicker for grabbing her collar and nail trims. Its worked marvelously for the collar grab, nail trims we are still working on. A groomer cut one too short one time and its been a fight ever since. It stinks since she used to be totally OK with it!
What are the best steps to take? How slowly should I go with it?
