Crate and tether. Also, do a really thorough cleaning of her 'spot' or she'll think that's where she's supposed to go when she smells that she has already 'gone' there before.
(FYI, dogs aren't spiteful, they don't try to punish us that way.)
eta: When you say let her in from outside, was she outside by herself to relive herself? When I leave mine outside on their own, I give them a 5 minute warning sort of a thing. Let's them know they have a few minutes to 'finish up' before bringing them in. Otherwise, I have one that will come in and then need to go outside again because he wasn't finished yet. Maybe yours wasn't done going yet. Just a thought.
