I though you needed something with less chemicals. The winter takes care of most of the flea problems here so I have limited experience with super fleas. But I do have to fight insects in my garden and it can be a challenge. DE works by drying out the shell on the insect so they cannot survive. Neem oil is interesting but I do not know how strong it is. Being a natural product does not always mean it is not potent.
You are also going to want to vacuum like crazy, at least once a day but maybe even twice. Then you either dump the canister into a plastic bag and seal it, or put the bag into a plastic bag and seal it.
I think that the light or candle in a dish of soapy water would be a good thing in your situation. Totally toxin free and pretty darn effective.
