My dogs love moozles and ears but just like anything else a visual/sniff test to make sure it's not diseased/decomposed is a good idea. Even hooves get retired to the ol woodchipper if they smell nasty enough.
Just make sure they're real and not rawhide shaped into ears.
My dog LOVED cow ears. They are much lower fat content than pig's ears. He's a hard chewer, so to him, they were about like potato chips, but man did he love them, and seemed to tolerate them well (he got one a day - usually when we sat down to eat dinner).
A dog has alot of friends because he wags his tail instead of his mouth.
My dogs love cow ears as well, but they don't last very long. For a longer lasting chew you might want to look into the bully sticks here at Leerburg. http://leerburg.com/1182.htm
They last my voracious chewers about an hour. The less aggressive chewers have theirs around for a couple of days. They were great puppy teething chews too.
