My 16 month old Mal bitch will bump people on the back of the leg as they walk away. She does this about the time I think the introdution has gone well and everything is fine, she will even wag her tail at them. I do keep her on a leash around people she doesn't know and have always corrected her for this, so have never had the chance to know what might come next. Is this her way of "testing the waters" or should I perceive this as her making a threat? Like it was nice to meet you but don't come back!
A few of you on the board know "sweet little Winnie", so I would like your thoughts. Not really a big deal just a behavior I'm curious about.
It must be from Dad's side of the family. Airus does something similar. When guys leave the station after roll call he kinda hops up hitting them on the hand and upper leg with his head. We had one incident where he did this and collapsed a knee of an officer making him loose his balance. Between this and the time he was found standing on the lunch tables and the time he jumped on top of the file cabnet he's not allowed off lead in the station any more. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
