Has anyone tried Wellness Puppy food? I have a friend who asked me to research it and I thought this might be the place to ask. I see it is sold at Petco, and the ingredients seem okay, but I don't know.
Any information would help me help her.
Thanks!
IMO, Wellness is a good food. I've never used it, but the ingredients are good, the company is good and I know several people who have used it with good results.

I like the Wellness brand except for the price, their allergy diets are great for those who can't make one themselves. They tend to run about $10 - $15 higher than taste of the wild and $10 less than Natura brand foods locally in the NW. For a good food of similar quality and cost I'd use Acana or Orijen over Wellness because of their QA standards and sourcing guarantee.
If Wellness is all you have available in your area though it's not a bad option.
Maggie ate that as a puppy and did well. I switched her to raw when she was a year old. I personally felt better that she was getting all the things from a puppy food that she needed while growing...
I have fed the wet/canned food in the past for road trips etc.(otherwise I feed all raw)
It was the Wellness Core canned food, but when I emailed the company asking about where they sourced their ingredients,
they finally said that their taurine and Vit C was sourced from China.
Just because of past issues from the melamine disaster in dog foods, this was enough for me to eliminate this food from consideration. This is all just my own personal choice/opinion.
