Thank you everyone!! Drift is the one who does all the work. I just opened the door for her a little.

On a side note, the Board of Directors for the company was down last week and met Drift. They were very pleased with her demeanor, but they did not have much time. They will be visiting again next Friday to see Drift do what she does so well...

SO, I am a bit nervous. They come to each site once a year, but have NEVER been to ours more than that... it is a 3 hour drive for them. These people are the owners and the CEO of the company... I hope the Drifty Dog does well

While they were there, Drift did an amazing bit of magic. One of our little kids has been acting up a lot lately. We found out that the man who beat his mom just got out of jail and has threatened to kill the whole family. The kid (6 years old) is terrified. He has not been able to sleep because he has nightmares. He is too nervous to eat. So he acts up.

He really had a rough morning. By lunch time, he was out of control. He was taken to the intervention area to cool down. Once he was able to stop kicking I brought Drift in. Since we knew what was bothering him, I suggested that he tell his "worries" to Drift, and maybe she can make it better. He looked at me like I was a bit cracked. I smiled and said, trust me, she can do anything.

Drift went over to him and sat at his side. He whispered into her ear for a long time. When he was done, Drift looked at him and gave him kisses. He was able to go back to group after that. Drift kisses make everything better

The best thing is that the Board saw what she did for that little boy. I think she will have a job for life

What a blessing Drift is for a child dealing with so much. This story just breaks my heart for that little boy, I hope that family is able to stay safe.

Kelly, What an amazing dog you've been entrusted with... she would not be who she is with just anyone. You giving her the opportunity to use her gifts is simply amazing - you two really are a great team.
