The name's Reina (pronounced Ray Nuh) and I'm up in BC, Canada. I've always loved dogs and training but can safely say I'm not a professional. I have a Great Dane/Lab mix named Keilah, who, if she was to be summed up in one word, is difficult. lol, but she has taught me a lot about owning challenging, intelligent, but weak/soft dogs. She's 30" and a little under 100 pounds. She's 12.
Next year, it is my goal to go to Triple Crown for the Canine Specialist Training program, mainly to train my own dogs but possibly be a public dog trainer if the need for another job arises. I would also like to continue my education at Michael Ellis's school every so often.
It's my life dream to breed Cane Corsi for working and breed them for the specific goal of serious tracking and protection, and obedience. There are several breeders that do work their dogs but only a select few whose main goal is to produce a working line, which is mine. I get a lot of flak about this but it has been my passion to breed since I was under 12 years old, and I believe that if you don't set big goals, you don't accomplish much in life.
After I attend and graduate from the TCA, I will be reserving a working quality male Corso pup from a breeder in Colorado whom I have conversed with already. I will hopefully be competing in several different types of events with him such as tracking, obedience, conformation, weight pulling, and maybe agility.
Enjoy the pics.
The first one is a little bright; we were outside.
Welcome Reina! Hope you find a good resource in this forum as I did. It pointed me in the right direction for what I was seeking and keeps me on a steady path. A great tool to keep in my pocket for training ventures- and good folks to give support when needed!
